Development History
1975
In 1975, No. 15 comprehensive factory was established in Santai village before the reform and opening up under the background of planned economy, which was later renamed as the Third Economic Machinery Factory. At the initial stage, the company engaged in wicker weaving, hardware processing and foundry casting, etc.
1984
In 1984, Fan Chaohong was elected as the factory director and formulated the development route towards professionalism and refinement for the enterprise. The enterprise got rid of all low value-added products and began to specialize in the research and development of gas appliances. At that time, with the help of the North China Design Institute of the Ministry of Construction, Gomon successfully developed the first generation of electromagnetic ignition gas stoves in China, filling the market gap at one stroke. In the next three years, Gomon developed series of stoves such as aluminum single-burner gas stove, aluminum double-burner gas stove, stainless steel electronic stove and cabinet stove, etc. in succession. Then, Gomon gas stoves stepped into the stage of large-scale mass production.
Under the guidance of the spirit of “pioneering an enterprise with painstaking efforts and running a factory with diligence and frugality”, four management policies were born in the enterprise, that is, there should be a standard for each item of work, a quota for each process, a measurement for each kind of consumption and an assessment for each link, and the enterprise carried out “evaluation-innovation-assessment” activities every month. The “four management policies” is the first corporate governance outline in the history of Gomon, which records the gradual transformation of an enterprise from disorder to order indirectly, and also witnesses the original pursuit of Gomon corporate culture.
1990
In 1990, Gomon grasped the opportunity to develop proactively and passed the state’s “constructive governance and rectification” once again. Aiming at the management requirements of the new era, Gomon put forward the new guideline of “a high standard for each item of work, a fine quota for each process, a precise measurement for each kind of consumption and a strict assessment for each link” on the basis of the four management policies. From the “four management policies” to the “high, fine, precise and strict” strategy, Gomon gradually formed the embryonic form of its corporate culture from the vague pursuit at the initial stage.
1992
In 1992, in view of the current situation of stove products with low safety and low technology content, Gomon began to take the route of “high technology content, high added value, and high market capacity” in terms of the products. For this purpose, Gomon established a scientific research team, united with domestic and foreign experts and successfully developed a gas stove with safe flame-out protection device in only 8 months, which won the gold medal at Jiangsu Safety and Energy Saving Products Exhibition that year. From then, the enterprise began to get rid of low-level competition and stepped on the fast track of development.
1993
In 1993, the upper management of Gomon with strategic vision took the lead in establishing the development strategy of “basing on kitchen and bath products, focusing on diversity, forming a specialty and creating characteristics”, marching into the field of full set of kitchen and bath appliances. Within a few years, it invested heavily to have built the automatic production line of gas water heaters and electric water heaters.
1995
In 1995, Gomon, which always took the lead in the field of a full set of kitchen and bath appliances, made an “unusual” move and entered the solar thermal utilization industry. It gave full play to the advantages in pressure vessel technology and the development experience to develop an electric water heater with blue magic liner, marking that Chinese electric water heater enterprises have mastered the enamel liner technology that meets international standards.
1996
In 1996, Jiangsu Gomon Group, which is composed of fuel appliance factory, water heater factory and steel bottle factory, was formally established. It consists of six departments, one labor union, one research institute and one total quality management office. The vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress, Comrade Wang Guangying, gladly wrote six remarkable characters for “Jiangsu Gomon Group”.
1998
In 1998, Gomon transferred the German enamel technology to the field of solar enamel liner successfully, developed the solar water tanks with enamel liner, promoted and popularized the solar enamel products and played a positive role in boosting the upgrade of solar enamel water tanks.
1999
In 1999, Gomon developed the gas stoves with safe flame-out protection device, winter and summer-type gas water heaters, electric water heaters with blue magic-patented liner, deep well-type range hoods, pressure-bearing &open-type dual-purpose solar water heaters, and embedded stove products under the guidance of a new concept, and a diversified product system gradually formed. Gomon appliances became a household word increasingly.
2000
In 2000, Gomon Group was successfully restructured and transformed from a collective ownership into a private joint-equity enterprise, bursting out with strong vitality and stepping on the “fast track” of development. Meanwhile, it clarified the enterprise tenet of “people-based, family-oriented and harmony-centered”, established the enterprise spirit of “pragmatism, refinement, learning and innovation” and formed a concept system with “family makes the world” as the core value. In the same year, aiming at the middle and high-end consumer groups in urban and rural areas, Gomon developed the pressure-bearing &open-type dual-purpose solar water heater with enamel liner that adopts original electric heating and magnesium bar, marking that the pressure-bearing performance of solar enamel inner was successfully integrated with the electric water heater.
2001
After 2001, Gomon launched the blue magic water tanks with a variety of structures and various specifications, marking the batch and series production of Gomon solar water heaters with enamel liner. The 100L-500L split-type enamel water tank products can be divided into copper coil, enamel coil and jacket, etc. according to the heat exchange mode, which are applied to the split-type central hot water system.
2005
Since 2005, there have been Gomon water heaters and solar energy that won the “spark program project”, “torch plan project” and “key new product project”.
2006
In 2006, Gomon Technology R&D Center was promoted to Jiangsu Provincial Technology R&D Center.
During this period, Gomon established the research and development concept of “navigation with scientific research and success with professionalism” and promoted the transformation and upgrading of its products through a variety of channels such as independent innovation and industry-university-research cooperation so as to drive its development from a “manufacturing enterprise” towards a “scientific and technological enterprise” and “learning-oriented enterprise” and create the characteristic industry system of Gomon.
2007
In the face of the trend of creating a low-carbon life around the world, Gomon insists on promoting the enamel pressure-bearing technology, which clarifies the product positioning of Gomon “energy storage water tank expert” and points out the direction for the development of Gomon new energy industry. Since then, Gomon has established the strategic goal of devoting itself into the new energy field of enamel pressure-bearing water tank and determined to become the “Foxconn” of new energy industry.
2008
In 2008, Gomon cooperated with many scientific research institutes to have successfully developed the high-efficient flat-plate pressure-bearing all-in-one and made six technological breakthroughs aiming at the shortcomings and problems of traditional solar energy products.
2009
In 2009, in order to allow more middle and high-storey users in the city to enjoy a comfortable and healthy bath life, Gomon developed a built-in balcony wall-hanging water tank with forced circulation, with the micro circulation pump embedded in the bottom of the water tank, and a number of patents were applied for it. Since then, Gomon has become a solar energy company that applies enamel water tanks to the balconies of high-rise residential buildings in the city.
2011
In 2011, Gomon accelerated the development of new technology and innovated the traditional water tank technology on the basis of the balcony wall-hanging water tank, and successfully developed the 2.0 version of central heating & separate heat storage water tank and the 3.0 version of villa split-type pressure-bearing jacket water tank, with the efficiency increased, cost reduced, service life prolonged and cost performance improved.
2012
In 2012, Gomon invested more than 40 million yuan to build a domestic leading automatic enamel water tank production line on the basis of the original enamel water tank production line after conducting investigation on more than ten well-known enterprises at home and abroad, which integrated the internationally advanced manufacturing equipment and technology and realized the comprehensive production management, with the production efficiency increased by three times. In the same year, Gomon took the lead in establishing the China Solar Heat Utilization Industry Alliance and the Special Committee of Solar Pressure-bearing Enamel Hot Water Storage Tanks, calling on peers across the country to strengthen product development and testing, focus on product quality, strengthen industrial self-discipline, use high-quality water tank chips to create a high-quality solar hot water system, jointly maintain the image of the industry and contribute value to the development of China’s solar heat utilization industry.
2013
In 2013, Gomon continuously extended the research and development direction of enamel hot water storage tank to air energy, geothermal energy, gas heating and other fields, and successively developed a number of new scientific research products. With the rapidly expanded air energy heat pump market as an example, Gomon developed a special enamel hot water storage tank suitable for air energy through repeated research and testing in response to the easy corrosion of the inner coil and poor energy efficiency of the outer coil of the stainless steel liner, which overcame the easy corrosion problem of ordinary copper coils after being internally installed. Besides, it also developed water tanks with built-in high-efficiency and corrosion-resistant copper coil, as well as a series of water tanks with external double copper coil, external double aluminum coil and external “microchannel” coil.
2014
In 2014, in order to better serve customers and the market, Gomon continued to further promote the upgrading of brand strategy and made great efforts to build an “efficient energy storage steward”. It formally changed the expert into a steward and emphasized the transformation towards globality, systematicness, serviceability and cooperativity. In order to meet the increasing customer order demand and lead the development direction of the industry, Gomon invested tens of millions of yuan to build a multi-energy enamel water tank production line covering an area of 20,000 square meters to vigorously promote the industrialized and international development of enamel hot water storage tanks and create products in line with international standards.
